Thank God for Ritalin

Well I survived the past couple of days and so did the kids - woo hoo!

Yesterday and the day before was awful but today there was a ray of light. My year 7's were angels today - has somebody slipped ritalin in their cereal (there is a god!). My year 8 lesson was really good too, I actually realised how much I actually do know - I managed to link in literacy, History and PSHE all in to one Science lesson - I rule!

Sarah (my sister) got a new job yesterday. She is now an auditor for HSBC, a job which involves travelling 50% of the time and she gets around 50 grand! Why the f**k did I choose to become a bloody teacher; ah yes that whole vocation thing......

I have almost finished my second week without my mentor whilst teaching a 60% timetable! Everyone else is fab but I miss my fireman...sigh....(note: he is a part time fireman as well). It has not been the easiest of weeks as it took me longer than I expected to get back into the teaching lark after such a big gap from good old yarmouth. I am actually beginning to enjoy it more again so that's good.

Any hoo really should be doing my lesson planning now and not distracting myself with this. I have never really writted a diary before - I never realised how therapeutic it is.

p.s. Bum update! I think that there is no apparant bruising - yay!
