I can't
remember what has happened since my last blog as it has been a long while now. Well I will try my best to get you all properly updated. Alby and I went to a 'TBA night' at the cinema on Monday which was very cool. Basically you go to see a movie you know nothing about that hasn't been released yet in order to fill out a comment card at the end. If you don't like the movie and want to leave in the first 30 minutes then you get your money back. So it is pretty much a win win situation. Turns out the movie was actually pretty good. It was the movie prime with Uma Thurman and Meryl Streep. It was pretty funny. One of my favourite lines was something like this: "His penis is so pretty that I just want to knit it a hat". How good is that?! Anyway I think the movie is out soon so I would recommend people catching it if they can.Everything at school is going well. It has been pretty busy as I am away next week so I have had to leave a week's worth of cover lessons. I took on my new year 10 group who are a damn sight b
etter than the last group. I did however go in 'hard' like they recommend so for the first lesson I was 'Miss Bitch' but now I have toned it down and everything is good. I also did an eye dissection with my nice year 8 class. I can't believe that seven people had to leave the room at some point during the lesson. One girl left as soon as I picked it up! It was good fun though particularly when one boy said that this was his favourite lesson ever - bless. I am visiting two new schools this week to see the sixth form classes which should be interesting. For the first three days I am at Kirkley High in Lowestoft which is where they fimed the last series of Rock School. Should be erm, interesting!(Oh yes before I forget miss picky! I will do my best never to spell your name again lemon catherine!)
On Friday I actually chose to go to a free lecture on the Beagle 2 at the John Innes Centre with Colin Pillinger. Before you ask the lecture was not actually about a dog. It actually turned out to be pretty good considering I knew nothing about it before I went. The next day Alby and I went on a shopping experience that will never be forgotten for the wrong reason. Note to self: ensure the bus you get on is going in the right direction - I will say no more. Also went out for a nice pub lunch for the bank holiday - but following tradition the weather was poo so we couldn't sit by the river.
Oooh before I forget I heard this great song on the radio by Sandi Thom called I wish I was a punk rocker which I really like so check it out if you haven't heard it yet.
Ah yes a big congratulations goes out to my friends Mike and Charlie who got engaged on her 21st birthday last week. I am realy pleased for them and I wish them all the happiness in the world - plus I hope I get an invite :-) Again, congrats guys xx
It is my birthday soon and I am starting to get excited about getting a year older which is unusual for me. I don't know what I am going to do - I wish I could hire somebody to sort it out! Sarah is having a birthday party and has asked if I want to share but as usual because it is on her birthday I will probably be forgotten again. I hate being born on the second day. i don't know I am sure it will be good what ever I do.
Well it is about time that I signed off for this evening seen as I am getting a wee bit hungry. My throat is a bit sore so I am a bit concerned that I am getting ill again - boo! Anyway it is great to be able to blog again so hopefully I will catch up with a lot of you agin soon.
Smell you later x
