Last night was open evening and I took on the role of surgeon starr! The year 6 loved it and my station was so busy. We had them all having a go at blowing up the lungs - it was great. I was quite disturbed however when one mother asked me what happens to the liver when you drink. She then carried on by telling me that her husband and father of her child is an alcoholic with pains in his side. She was basically trying to get me to diagnose him after about 5 minutes of meeting her!!! Lets just say something urgent popped up....
It was good but it was such a late night with a lot to clear up. I didn't get home til 10pm and of course science was last to leave. I was truly knackered and i fell asleep fully clothed - again! The best thing was though that we didn't have to be in til 11am this morning and their was a pressie waiting for me on my desk to thank me for all my work last night!! I have such a good relaxed 3 period day. I wish they were all like this.....hmmmmmm
